NATCHEZ – Memorial services for Freddie B. Simpson, Jr., affectionately known as “Unk”, of Pensacola, FL, formerly of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, in Pensacola will be held Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at 4 p.m. at West Gate Funeral Home.

Services are under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Freddie, Jr. was born on Sept. 12, 1970, in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Rosalia A. Smith and Freddie B. Simpson, Sr. He was a 1990 graduate of Natchez High School and furthered his education at Hinds Community College in Utica, MS.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eleuterio and Felicisima Tonido, and paternal grandparents, Nannie S. Johnson and Albert Butler.

Freddie Jr.’s life will be forever cherished in the lives of his parents and stepmother, Shirley Simpson; sisters, Valenthia Smith, Amelia Simpson, Delanea S. Young (Eldrick), Regina Simpson (Tracey), and Erica Simpson; special niece, Kaitlyn Seals; special nephews, Sam Pickett, Jr. (Micca), Jared Simpson and Patrick Seals, Jr., and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
