NATCHEZ — A 33-year-old Natchez woman lost her life this morning after a one-car crash on U.S. 84 in Franklin County.

Cpl. Craig James, public affairs officer with the Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M based in Brookhaven, said Brittany Davis, 33, of Natchez was traveling west on U.S. 84 at about 2:22 a.m. Wednesday when the 2019 Honda Accord she was driving left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Davis received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, James said.
