Adams County cases of COVID-19 double; Mississippi total up 94 cases

The number of COVID-19 cases in Adams County doubled overnight — from 3 cases Thursday to 6 cases Friday — after the Mississippi Department of Health released its report of confirmed cases Friday morning.

MSDH reports 579 confirmed cases of the virus with eight deaths. The number of cases increased by 94 cases.

In southwest Mississippi, the number of cases in Jefferson County and Wilkinson County also increased. Jefferson County, which previously had no reported cases, now has one confirmed cased of the virus. The number of confirmed cases in Wilkinson County increased to nine cases — up one case from Thursday.
