Spring Pilgrimage gets underway Friday night with the first evening of the Historic Natchez Tableaux and runs through April 14.
No doubt plenty of people are putting the finishing touches on their historic houses that will soon be opened to visitors from far and wide coming to visit Natchez.
Pilgrimage is important to Natchez as it is one of the city’s most important tourist events.
More than 20 houses will be included on this year’s tours, some that are privately owned and some that are open year around.
As tourists visit our community, let’s be sure to extend to them the Southern hospitality for which we are known.
Be courteous with directions and tips for shopping and dining locations.
And, while we’re at it, lets get out and enjoy some of the associated Pilgrimage events that make the season special.
Start with Friday’s first Tableaux presented by the Natchez Garden Club, which is free and open to the public at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the City Auditorium and continues at the same time and place on Saturday and March 20, 21 and 27.
Let’s put our best foot forward, Spring Pilgrimage is about to begin.
