Jan. 5, 1943 – Oct. 11, 2019

Tucson– Irving Herman Marshall “Sonny” Stammreich passed away on October 11, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.
Mr. Stammreich was born January 5, 1943, in Natchez, Mississippi, the son of Irving H. and Charles Audley Stammreich.

Sonny was a veteran of the United States military and retired after serving many years in the National Guard. Aside from the military, Sonny had many jobs in his life, but spending time in the great outdoors was his passion. He was fortunate in being able to live his dream of living his last years in retirement in Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Merritt Stammreich; his parents and his sister, C. Audley (Peri) Stammreich.

Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly S. Prater of Logan, Utah, and his son, John Stammreich of Natchez; his grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.  His ashes, according to his wishes, were scattered in Arizona.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
