NATCHEZ— Services for Russ Lee Dodge, 92, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with the Rev. Bishop Michael Norris officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Dodge was born Jan. 3, 1928, in Hollis, Oklahoma, the son of Russell Keys Dodge and Pauline Sanger Dodge.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a member of the Delaware Tribe of Indians, and attended Oklahoma State University. He retired from Seismograph Service Corporation, where he worked for his entire career. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a seaman second class.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one sister; and his wife of 65 years, Nancy Hedrick Dodge.
Survivors include three children, Russ Dodge and wife, Liz, and Renee Marler and husband, Phil, all of Coos Bay, Oregon, and Kevin Dodge of Natchez; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Gotsch and husband, Steve, Trevor Dodge and wife, Emily, Danielle Hale and husband, Seth, Ian Dodge and wife, Kelly, Kassie Dollar and husband, Adam, Erin Marler, and Christopher Marler and wife Stephanie; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Phil Marler, Seth Hale, Adam Dollar, Elder Checketts, Elder Thompson and Ian Dodge.
A eulogy will be given by longtime friend Brother Dollar.
