FERRIDAY— Services for Johnnie Leroy “Johnnie Boy” Kimble Jr., 76, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, at his residence, will be 12 noon Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Burial will follow at the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Ferriday under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Kimble was born Dec. 29, 1943, in New Orleans, the son of Johnnie Kimble Sr. and Thelma Morris Kimble.

He was a retired master mechanic, member of the Tri-Parish Ministerial Alliance and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his parents.
He is survived by his wife, the Rev. Bishop Jennie C. Kimble of Ferriday; three sons, George L. Kimble of Natchez, Johnnie L. Kimble III and Dirk Kimble, both of San Diego, California; five daughters, Jennifer Chatman and husband, Quentin, of Ferriday, Angela Montgomery and husband, Reginald, of Baton Rouge, Sarah Fisher and husband, Kendrell, of Jonesville, Twila Tisdale and husband, Jason, of San Diego, and Ilona Kimble Scott of New Orleans; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one aunt, Geraldine Rolling of Slidell, Louisiana; two uncles, Flifton Morris and wife, Linda, of New Orleans, and Ronald Morris of Las Vegas.
