WATERPROOF — Services for Herman Jackson Jr., 63, of Waterproof, who died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at Merit Health Central in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. Adrian London officiating.

Burial will follow at the Good Samaritan Cemetery in Waterproof under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 27, 1956, in Waterproof, the son of Herman Jackson Sr. and Annie Bell Wiley Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Robert Earl Jackson.
Survivors include his mother of Waterproof; his wife, Valois Jackson; two children, Nathaniel Jackson of Las Vegas and Felicia Jackson of Monroe, Louisiana; three brothers, Kenneth Jackson of Waterproof, Jerome Jackson and wife, Tammy, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Alethia Jackson of Chicago; six sisters, Jill Jackson, Carrie Lee Reed and husband, Darryl, all of Chicago, Linda Crump and husband, Horace, of Waterproof, Hermanette Jackson of Houma, Louisiana, Thelma Scott and husband, Charles, of New Orleans, and Bessie Jackson of Kansas City; four grandchildren; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
