NATCHEZ— Services for Betty Jean Taylor, 77, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Taylor was born Oct. 25, 1942, in Ferriday, the daughter of Willie Warner and Ruby Lee Collier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bernard Taylor and Freddie Taylor; one brother, L.C. Luckett; and one sister, Johnnie Knapper.
Survivors include her five sons, Ronnie Taylor, Fayetteville, North Carolina, George Taylor and wife, Sharon, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Daryle Taylor and wife, Ruby, of Ruston, Louisiana, Andrew Taylor of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Wayne Taylor and wife, Trenya, of Ferriday; two daughters, Annittie Peabody and husband, Willie, of Salem, Alabama, and Doris White of Fayetteville; three brothers, Morris Warner of New Orleans, Gull Collier and Donald Warner, both of Ferriday; two sisters, Annie Warner of West Columbia, Texas, and Rose Helen Hollis of New Orleans; a special daughter who was like her own, Vernell Taylor of Waterproof; a special daughter-in-law, Christine Taylor of Wisner, Louisiana; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; a special godmother, Marie Banks of Ferriday; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
