NATCHEZ — Service for Michael Donnell “Pee Wee” Owens, 52, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at his residence, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Marshall Funeral Home Natchez Chapel.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today and from 2:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Owens was born Jan. 3, 1967, in Natchez, the son of Samuel Hendricks and Ester Ruth “Polly” Owens.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Rosa Lee Smith; stepmother, Willie Ray Stampley; his wife, Sarah Log; two sisters, Rosie L. Owens and Kimberly Hendricks; one aunt; one uncle; two nieces; and one nephew.

Survivors include his wife, Twyla Ware Owens; two daughters, Michelle Smith and Kadijah Johnson and husband, Michael; six sons, Shavarious Long, Michael Owens Jr., Zavier Owens, Zachary Smith, De’Ante Ware and Armani Hence; four sisters,  Diane Owens, Kesha Owens, Nicholle Pearson and Ebony Bland; six brothers, Vincent Owens, Travis Owens and wife, Henrietta, Gerald Pearl and wife, Jeniffer, ShonKeith Hendricks and wife, Courtney, Samuel Hendricks and Tony Stampley; stepmother, Lourdean Hendricks; father and mother-in-law, John and Jeanette Ware; four aunts; six uncles; three sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; two godchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
