NATCHEZ — Services for Herman Beamer Sr., 74, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Marshall Funeral Home Natchez Chapel.

Burial will follow at Southwood Lodge Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Beamer was born Sept. 11, 1945, in Natchez, the son of Lionnie Beamer and Valancha Fleming Beamer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Strauder Beamer; nine children, Herman Beamer Jr. and wife, Andretta, Mark Beamer and wife, Maqullia, Joseph Beamer and wife, Patricia, Terry Beamer and wife, Loretha, Herman Alexander, Michael Webster, Taneshia Emerson and husband, Stephen, Rosetta Adams and James Killingsworth; three special daughters, Minola Hurst and husband, Randy, Kenyatta Glover and Shaunta Strauder and fiancé, Darrius; two sisters, Ruby Lee Beamer and Victory Carson and husband Ricky; 20 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
