Consider recent contradictions on Opinion Page

The Jan. 2 edition Opinion Page of The Natchez Democrat includes the following two items:
1. Great Work, Y’all Means All! Keep Up The Good Work One paragraph states “………Y’all Means All held a series of fundraisers throughout the year: including a GAY rage sale and a Battle of the Belle’s in which straight men dressed in drag to raise money for the cause” (Mental Health)
Is this activity to be sought by families with their children? Gay events and drag queens? Is The Natchez Democrat really promoting this? On the same page is published the Daily Scripture from James 1:21
2. “Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.”
The book of James has a lot to say about works or deeds, the kind that accompanies faith and thereby salvation. It would be commendable to read the entire book of James. Also recommend the book of First Corinthians, Chapter 6, on homosexuality.
I applaud The Natchez Democrat for printing the Daily Scripture. Please keep it up. And consider the stark contrast between items 1 and 2.
