NATCHEZ — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for the Natchez Adams County area until 3:15 p.m. today.

Natchez Adams School District will end the school day early after the National Weather Service in Jackson has placed the Miss-Lou area under a tornado watch until 6 p.m. today.

A tornado watch means conditions are ripe for severe thunderstorms that can produce tornadoes.

NASD elementary schools will close at 12:30 p.m. today; middle schools at 12:45 p.m.; and the high school at 1:15 p.m.
