The City of Natchez and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality are collaborating with the Girl Scout troops to bring more awareness about recycling in our community.

The three local troops will be doing a joint Christmas project by decorating trees using only recycled materials.

Each troop will build a Christmas tree and decorate with handmade recycled ornaments. The trees will be on display from Dec. 13-20.

The public is invited and encouraged to come view the trees and vote for best tree and best ornament.

The trees will be on display at the Natchez Convention Center and enter through the middle doors on Main Street.

The hours for viewing and voting will be Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 p.m.
