VIDALIA— Services for Ruby Alyne “Granny” Clark, 91, of Vidalia, who went home to be with Jesus, Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Randall officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clark, known as “Granny” to all that knew her, was born Oct. 20, 1928, in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of Alex Roberts and Mae Glidewell Roberts.
She was an avid gardener and loved tending her flowers. She spent her life teaching her granddaughters gardening, canning, cooking and sewing.  She was a faithful member of Trace City Baptist Church in Natchez.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jimmy Dale Burgess; one brother, Junior Roberts; sister-in-law, Evelyn Roberts; and one nephew, Donald Wayne Roberts.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Curtis Clark; one daughter, Ruby Roberts and husband, Burl, of Vidalia; five granddaughters, Anita Brunson and husband, Steve, of Collierville, Tennessee, Natalie Scroggins and husband, Mitch, of Natchez, Samantha Barron and husband, Jay, of Cash Bayou, Tabatha Sinclair and husband, Thomas, of Pineville, Louisiana, and Heather Porter and husband, Sammy, of Natchez; nine great- grandchildren who she loved dearly, Daniel Cavin Jr. and wife, Stephanie, of Vidalia, Rebecca Bracknell and husband, Cody, of Pearl, Brittany Smith and husband, Blake, of Jackson, Amber Scroggins of Natchez, Thomas Allen Barron and Jared Barron of Cash Bayou, Tanner Sinclair of Baton Rouge, Tori Sinclair and Ty Sinclair of Pineville;  she was blessed with two great-great-granddaughters, Remi Barron and Ainslee Cavin; she was awaiting the arrival of her third great-great-granddaughter, Eleanor Bracknell in December 2019; she was also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Steve Brunson, Mitch Scroggins, Jay Barron, Thomas Sinclair, Sammy Porter and Daniel Cavin Jr.
