NATCHEZ — Services for Louise Thèrese Marechal Kepper, 91, of Natchez, who died Wednesday Nov. 6, 2019, in Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Church of Natchez with the Rev. James Johnson and Adam Welch officiating.
Burial will follow at Jersey Settlers Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday at the church.
Mrs. Kepper was born Nov. 26, 1927, in Liege, Belgium, the daughter of Pierre Desire Joseph Marechal and Catherine Marie Mathilde Stiennon Marechal.
Mrs. Kepper always kept her hands busy — she loved cooking, working in her beautiful yard and needlework. She enjoyed and loved working for Ullman’s department store for many years. She was a substitute French teacher for Natchez and Vidalia schools. For many years, she was a Pink Lady at Natchez Regional Medical Center. She also received and was a translator for French tourists at the antebellum home, Auburn. She loved going to church and being with God’s people. She was a resident of Magnolia Village.
Mrs. Kepper was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John O. “J.O.” Kepper; one son, John Pierre Kepper; one sister, Denise Machiels of Liege, Belgium; and one nephew, Jean Claude Machiels.
Survivors include three children, Annie Louise Kepper Craft and husband, Sebastian, of Natchez, Cathy Denise Wildman and husband, Richard, of Iota, Louisiana, and Michael Rene Kepper of Turkey Creek, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Stephen Tate Craft, Todd Marechal Craft, Melissa Murphy, Chellè Holy, Megan Robinson, Haley Kepper and Derrick Strange; one daughter-in-law, Kay Kepper; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
