NATCHEZ— Services for Muzzett Marshall Floyd Smith, 102, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at Heartland HHC in Milwaukee, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Pickett officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Smith was born April 18, 1917, in Ackerman, the daughter of Everett and Bessie Lee Winex Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Earnest Floyd Sr., Alfred Parker and Elijah Smith; one son, Charles Floyd; two sisters, Sallie Bell Marshall Patterson and Mary “Minnie Bell” Marshall Young; and two brothers, the Rev. Earnest Marshall and Herman Marshall.
Survivors include a loving and devoted son, Earnest Floyd Jr. and companion, Rita Davis, of Milwaukee; one sister, Inell Marshall Lyles of Natchez; nine grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
