FERRIDAY — Services for Odessa Mae Jackson, 69, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Bishop Justin Conner officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mary Church Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Miss Jackson was born April 12, 1950, in Ferriday, the daughter of Ernest and Corean Washington Jackson.
Survivors include one son, Donald Jackson of Morgan City, Louisiana; six daughters, Shonda Jackson and Tressie Jackson of Baton Rouge, Tanyu Lewis of Aurora, Colorado, Shelia Addison and Myrna Mason of Atlanta, and Christie Jackson; two brothers, Jimmy Jackson and Ernest Jackson Jr., all of Ferriday; six sisters, Ethel Jackson and Carolyn Jackson of Alexandria, Alice Jackson and Audrey Jackson of Baton Rouge, Ora Lee Stevenson of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ernestine Boswell of Eureka, Kansas; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of cousins.
