WOODVILLE— Services for Shirley A. Floyd, 78, of Woodville, who died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at her residence, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodville Baptist Church with the Rev. George Bannister and the Rev. Warren Whitaker officiating.
Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Floyd was born Jan. 24, 1941, in Natchez, the daughter of Henry and Ruby Truitt.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Yvonne Carter and Jewel Morrison; one granddaughter, Heather Rene Floyd Meng; and one grandson, Chadwick Floyd.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar “Puggy” Floyd; one daughter, Darlene McKinney and husband, John; two sons, James Floyd and girlfriend, Kim Gregory, who was also her caregiver, and Allen Floyd and wife, Rene; two grandchildren, Jennifer McKinney and Cheyenne Rowe; and six great-grandchildren, Shannon and Zane Cockerham, Mary Frances and McKayla June, Ally Meng and Levi Rowe.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Cockerham, Adam Rowe, Bobby Messenger, Cody Messenger, Jason Dunaway and Shannon Dunaway.
