NATCHEZ— Services for Alberta Mayberry Bradley, 83, of Chicago, formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, in Chicago, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.
Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Bradley was born Oct. 12, 1935, in Franklin County, the daughter of Alex Mayberry Jr. and L.V. Fuller Mayberry.
She was a 1955 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School.
Mrs. Bradley attended Greater Metropolitan Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Barbara Gantt and Dave Mayberry.
Survivors include two daughters, Thelma Reed and husband, Lamonte, and Carolyn St. Preux and husband, Fred, of Chicago; three grandsons, David, Daniel and Joshua St. Preux of Chicago; four siblings, Camille Williams of Las Vegas, Ellice Morris of Chicago, Helen Mayberry of Portland, Oregon and Rosena Profice and husband, Willie, of Natchez; two aunts, Estelle Fleming and Thelma Hawkins of Natchez; sister-in-law, Doretha Mayberry of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
