NATCHEZ — Services for Earl Brown, 81, of Chicago, formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, in Chicago, will be 11 a.m. Friday at George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel at West Gate Funeral Home.   
Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Brown was born April 22, 1938, in Natchez, the son of James and Mattie Brown.
He attended school in Stampley and the Adams County public schools and was a 1957 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School.  After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was previously employed by Marshall Fields and AT&T, where he retired.
Mr. Brown was a member of the St. Felicitas Catholic Church. He enjoyed buying, repairing and flipping real estate and watching his favorite sport games on television.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Durrell Brown and his first wife, Hattie Brown.
Survivors include one son, Broderick Brown; one step-son, Lavelle Darsey; one grandson, Yahmani Lavelle Dorsey; beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and special friend, David Dodd; and other relatives and friends.
