NATCHEZ— Services for Frances Louise “Sis” Grover Lloyd, 75, of New Llano, Louisiana, formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, in Leesville, Louisiana, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Jerusalem Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Road with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Lloyd was born Oct. 8, 1943, in Natchez, the daughter of Elizabeth Johnson Myles and Johnnie Grover. She was raised by Henry Myles along with her mother. She 1962 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School. Frances furthered her studies at Bolton Beauty School and became a licensed beautician.
Mrs. Lloyd was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Natchez and the American Legion Post 387 Ladies Auxiliary of New Llano. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Johnnie and James Grover; one sister, Katie Myles; and her grandmother, Francis Grover Shelby.
Survivors includeher husband, Wilbert Lloyd; two sons, Demetrius Lloyd and wife, Susan, and Theron Lloyd; two sisters, Theresa M. Miller and Mary M. Jackson; three grandchildren, Jordon, Vaughn-zel and Mya Lloyd, brother-in-law, Clarence Lloyd Sr.; a loving niece, Sandra Myles and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
