After being in operation for approximately 10 years, Natchez, Inc. recently contracted with VisionFirst Advisors to help the organization develop a plan for promoting the region’s economic development.

The first step in that process is underway with an online survey where anyone who wants can go online and fill in a questionnaire about Natchez, Inc. and what direction they would like to see the organization take on economic development in the Miss-Lou.

VisionFirst also is interviewing community leaders and other stakeholders to get their feedback on the area’s economic development in order to put together a strategic plan for moving forward.

The survey contains some 15 questions, including, “From an economic development standpoint, where would you like to see the Adams County/Concordia Parish region in five years?” and “What type of new businesses and industry do you want to see in the region?”

This is your chance to weigh in on the area’s economic development strategy and the more voices the better.

“For the region’s efforts to be successful,” organizers say, “it is important to hear from members of the community. The survey gives you the opportunity to provide feedback on how you feel about the role of economic development, what type of growth and industry you think is best suited for the region and how you feel about the quality of life that you currently enjoy.”
