WILDSVILLE, Louisiana — Services for Edward Lee Glasper, 63, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Old Daughters Baptist Church in Wildsville, Louisiana.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Glasper was born Aug. 29, 1955, in Frogmore, Louisiana, the son of Willie Glasper and Estella Townsend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Andrew Glasper, Raymond Townsend and Willie Glasper Jr.; and two aunts, Mary Louise Glasper and Jennifer Meredith.
Survivors include his wife, Quolice Whitley Glasper; three daughters, Theresa Glasper, Melissia Carter and husband, Brandon, and Imari Glasper; six grandchildren, Tierra Spurs, Zalon Jefferson, Tamera Spurs, TaKera Spurs, Zaria Jefferson and La’Brandon Carter, all of Ferriday; six sisters, Gloria Harbor and husband, Leonard, of Wildsville, Bennie McCoy and husband, Louis, of Jena, Louisiana, Patricia Washington and husband, Fred, Sandra McCoy, all of Jonesville, Carolyn Spurs and husband, Dave, and Sandra Cauley, all of Ferriday; two aunts, Shirley Britton of Winnfield, Louisiana, and Alma Townsend of Ferriday; one great-aunt, Jeraldine Bradford of Jonesville; and other relatives and friends.
