ROXIE — Services for Henry Lee Smith Jr., 81, of Roxie, who died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Springhill Baptist Church in Roxie with the Rev. Mike Carraway and the Rev. Max Foreman officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mr. Smith was born Jan. 7, 1938, the son of Henry L. Smith Sr. and Melinda Murray Smith.
He was a heavy equipment mechanic.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Alice Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty Fay Smith; two sons, Neal Smith and wife, Mandy, and Carl Smith and wife, Wanda; two grandchildren, Emily and Hannah; and three nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charles Brown, Willie Brown, David Brown, Randy Hunt, Randy Arnold and William Mullins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Foreman, Robbie Rymer, Johnny Longmire and Lyle Johnson.
