Justice still being sought for Owens’ murder

Justice for Don E. Owens still and will be my main focus until the person or people are arrested for the gruesome killing of my son.
I am a grieving mother who will continue to keep his name alive and pray to God if someone saw something to say something.
My son, Don E. Owens was murdered on Dec. 17, 2018. It has been eight months too long.
As a mother, I will continue to fight for justice for my son.
The criminals who commit these killings should not be able to walk around us. The people in this community are afraid for their lives as well and also want justice.
My son is no longer here, and I am his voice and I will not go away or let his death as well as the other young men’s deaths go in vain.
My family and I want justice a closure for my son that is his civil right as well as mine. Law enforcement and connected agencies please get the criminals off the streets of Natchez, so we will no longer be afraid to walk out of our doors not knowing if we will return home safe.
Rebecca Owens,
Natchez resident
