We are living in troubled times with lots of animosity in our society. Unfortunately the Miss-Lou has seen it’s share of violence.
The Women of Worship Miss-Lou wanted to host an event to bring the community together and give comfort and healing. The Women of Worship Miss-Lou is a non-profit organization with a compassion for the spiritual health and well-being of the women in our community.
We are committed to helping to bring spiritual health through sound biblical teaching in small group bible studies and with our annual Bible study conferences. We are also passionate about coming alongside those who are victims of domestic violence and those who are making efforts to recover from substance abuse and other behavioral disorders.
We desire to bring the women of this area together to learn God’s Word together and to support women going through trials. For the past 6 years we have held an annual women’s conference bringing in Bible teacher’s from around the country.
On Aug. 24 we are excited to present a new event for the whole community “Lord, Have Mercy! A Night of Prayer and Praise! at the Natchez City Auditorium at 6 p.m. This evening will involve many members of the community and will feature a performance by Ballet Magnificat! — America’s Premier Christian Ballet Company.
The proceeds from this evening will benefit Women of Worship Miss-Lou, The Guardian Shelter and Almost Home of Jonesville, Louisiana. The Guardian Shelter provides a safe place for women and their children who have escaped abusive relationships. They provide many services including counseling. Almost Home is a non-profit Christian home, a place for new beginnings whether it’s life after jail or rehab, etc. The home allows women to get a new start while breaking the cycle that led them to jail or rehab and also help them develop their relationship with God.
We pray that the community, men, women, young ,old will come and join us as we pray for our community and praise God for what he’s done.
Tickets are $20 each or $15 for groups of 10 or more. tickets can be purchased in Natchez at AnRuss, The Guardian Thrift Store and in Vidalia at Russ and First Baptist Church Vidalia. Tickets can also be purchased online on Eventbrite.
