MARRERO, La. — Services for Shanturia Thornton, 36, of Harvey, Louisiana, who died Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Oshsner Foundation Hospital in Jefferson, Louisiana, will be noon Saturday at Greater Mount Calvary Church, 1600 Westwood Drive in Marrero.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

A local visitation will be Sunday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez.

Mrs. Thornton was born Feb. 15, 1983, in Natchez, the daughter of Larry Good and Debra Smith.

She was preceded in death by her mother and one nephew, Jeremiah Washington.

Survivors include her husband, Oliver Thornton III; her father of Natchez; five children, Calab, Caliv, Christian, Olivia and Nivia Thornton, all of New Orleans; one brother, Jermaine Good of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Monique Day and Tatyana Marsaw, both of New Orleans; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
