BROOKHAVEN— Services for Helen June Calcote Huff, 91, who died Thursday, July 18, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her family and was reunited with her husband on their 71stwedding anniversary, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Red Star Ward) in Brookhaven, with the Rev. Bishop Randall Sones officiating.
Burial will follow at the Red Star Cemetery under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home located on Natchez Drive. She will lie in state at Red Star Ward Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Huff was born on Jan. 3, 1928, in Loyd Star, the third child of Willie Sig Calcote and Nellie Belle Britt Calcote.
She was a dedicated mother and served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in a number of roles, including serving several missions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford Jewel Huff; one daughter Gwendolyn Huff Clarke; son-in-law, Tim Blalock; her parents; her siblings; and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include five children, Willie Ray Huff and wife, Joni, of Byram, Paula Huff Blalock of Natchez, Pamela Huff Dansie and husband, Rex, of American Fork, Utah, Suzette Huff Sullivan and Barry Keith Huff and wife, Dosky, all of Loyd Star; 24 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.
