FERRIDAY— Services for Betty Jo Bragg, 76, of Frogmore, who died Tuesday, July 9, 2019, in New Orleans, will be noon Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bragg was born Sept. 13, 1942, in Winnsboro, South Carolina, the daughter of Joe and Fay Lemmon.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in education at Winthrop College. She moved to Louisiana after marriage to live on Brushy Bayou Plantation.
Betty Jo formally taught school in Concordia Parish and served on the Concordia Parish Library Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James W. Bragg Sr.; one daughter, Lisa Marie Bragg of Dallas; one son, James W. Bragg Jr. and wife, Cherie, of New Orleans; one grandson, James W. Bragg III; and two brothers, Joe H. Lemmon and William Lemmon.
