VIDALIA— Services for Ethel Brown, 67, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, June 13, 2019, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Raymond Riley officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brown was born Jan. 7, 1952, in Ferriday, the daughter of Thomas and Idella Birden Melancon.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Brown; one son, Willie Smith; one daughter, Seletia Evans and Floyd White, all of Houston; one brother, Donald Melancon and wife, Debra, of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren, Destiny Smith and Jailyn Smith of Ferriday and Ashton Price of Houston; one uncle, Milton Melancon of Ferriday; and a number of other family members and friends.
