NATCHEZ— Services for Jeffrey Jamal Woods, 27, of San Jacinto City, Calif., formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, May 31, 2019, in San Jacinto City, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Sibley with the Rev. Douglas Logan officiating.
Burial will be Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.  
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. today with a celebration of life wake service at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Woods was born on July 12, 1991, in Natchez, the son of Earnest Rounds and Criscita Woods.
Jeffrey graduated from high school and college and served four years in the U.S. Army. He was employed by HHS Construction Company and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandmothers, Hattie Woods and Sarah Rounds.
Survivors include his mother; one sister, Veronica Douglas and husband, Larry Sr.; godbrother, Adrain Perry; two nephews, Larry Douglas Jr. and Ladarrion Douglas; nine aunts, Rachel Woods, Lucille Mazique, Hattie Robinson, Cora Minor, Lizzie Phipps, Annie Dennis, Jessie Logan, Angie Fitzgerald and Helen Lewis; four uncles, Charles Woods, Robert Woods, Lee Andrew Rounds and Isiah Rounds; and other relatives and friends.
