FERRIDAY— Services for Gregory Purvis, 56, of Los Angeles, formerly of Ferriday, who died Friday, May 24, 2019, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Beulah Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Larry Andrews officiating.
Burial will Monday at 10 a.m. at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Purvis was born Dec. 5, 1962, in Ferriday, the son of Ruby Koon.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served his country from Sept. 2, 1982 to Oct. 17, 1984.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include two brothers, Rickey Koon of Hercules, Calif., and Thomas L. Koon and wife, Rae, of El Cerrito, Calif.
