Take advantage of YMCA’s recreational opportunities

The end of the school year — which is May 24 for Natchez-Adams School District schools — might seem like a long way off, especially if you are a school-age child.
For many adults, especially parents of school children, however, the May 24 date is approaching way too fast.
Parents often wonder how to keep children occupied through the long summer months.
Fortunately, Natchez and Adams County sports and recreation administrators are hard at work planning a summer schedule of options not only for children but also for adults.
Activities include summer youth athletic leagues such as basketball but also swimming activities for adults and children at the YMCA community swimming pool in Natchez.
Such recreational opportunities are a great alternative to having young ones sit on the couch indoors playing video games or watching television all day long.
Not only is the YMCA planning activities for children, the organization also is planning adult athletic leagues and events at the pool, so everyone can get in on the fun.
We encourage people to stay active, not only during the summer months but also year-round.
One option is through the many programs offered by the YMCA of Natchez.
Take a look at their programs and start planning not only your children’s summer activities but also your own.
