FERRIDAY — Services for Mary Louise Brown, 89, of San Mateo, Calif., formerly of Vidalia, who died at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown was born in Vidalia, the daughter of Montgomery and Lenora Tibbs.
She was a retired lead cook for St. Matthew Catholic Church in San Mateo. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was a collector of distinctive figurines, crystal vases and fine chinaware.
Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Brown; four children, Dianne Martin, Sandra Burns, Beverly Lanzilla and Leonora Stroughter; and one brother-in-law, Ernest Hagan.
Survivors include three children, Carolyn Washington, Joyce Mahaney and Alfred Tibbs, all of San Mateo; one sister, Jennie T. Hagan of Vidalia; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of cousins and friends.
