NATCHEZ— Graveside services for Charles Lee Williams Jr., 71, of Natchez, who died Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Barksdale officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Lee was born April 6, 1948, in Natchez, the son of Charles Lee Williams Sr. and Leona McMillan Williams.
He was a member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church and Cypress Grove Hunting Club. He was retired from St. Catherine Gravel.
Williams loved hunting, fishing, Mississippi State University and the comradery that was shared around the campfires, grills, dog kennels, and “the hunt.”
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hale Williams; two sons, Chip Williams and wife, Suzanne, of Madison and Russ Williams and wife, Carrie, of Barksdale Air Force Base; five grandchildren, Dillon, Madison, Hudson, Hayes and Ella Hicks; one sister, Liz James and husband, Eddie, of Vidalia; one nephew, Trae James of Lake St. John; one niece, Jennifer McGivaren Bryant of Vidalia; and a number of cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Trae James, Rick Junkin, Lewie Sandel, Gene Williams, Mark Williams and Mike Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Breithaupt, Bob Guedon, Eddie James, Dick Junkin, Robert Lewis, Freddie Sandel and members of the Cypress Grove Hunting Club.
