NATCHEZ— Services for Wesley Gerald Blaney, 77, of Vidalia, who died Monday, April 15, 2019, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be 11 a.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Hemby officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Blaney was born Jan. 6, 1942, in Foules, La., the son of Wesley Charles Blaney and Opal Dee Metcalf Blaney.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Groover Blaney; his parents; and one brother, Kenneth Blaney.
Survivors include his three children, Angela Blaney, Jack Blaney and wife, April, and Jason Blaney and wife, Sharon; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Blaney and Leyton Blaney; two great-granddaughters, Aislynn Miller and Natalie Fletcher; three brothers, Charlie Blaney, Bill Blaney and Ronnie Blaney; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Groover, Wayne Felter, Wesley Blaney, Bill Burnsed, Lee Melton and Roy Vines.
Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Bass, Wayne Scott and Kippy Blaney.
