Join us Saturday for Harmony in Park
Published 12:01 am Thursday, April 18, 2019
Come one, come all to Harmony in the Park noon until 6 p.m. Saturday at Jack Waite Park on McCabe Street in Natchez.
The stage has been set for a wonderful afternoon of fun and fellowship as event organizers have diligently worked to organize a day of unification for our community.
The goal is for people of all ages and races to join together for a day of enjoyment as Natchezians — nothing less, nothing more.
There is no fee for entrance into the festivities. Participants need only bring their own lawn chairs and coolers; however, vendors will be on hand to sell food and beverages. There also will be vendors selling arts and crafts, so bring some extra spending money.
Main stage performances include 61 Jazz Band, YZ Ealey, The Survivors and Zydeco Radio. There will also be a special sing-along led by Lljuana Weir.
There will be physical activities as well: basketball and possibly volleyball.
Special thanks to all in-kind sponsors: Home Bank, Natchez Market, Natchez Convention Center, Visit Natchez, United Mississippi Bank, Lljuana Weir and Matt Willis.
There is no good reason to miss this day of fun and harmony as the goal is to spread love and unity. In an ever-changing world, we could use more days like this to bring us together as one.
We hope to see you there.
