NATCHEZ — Services for Cleothia “Mookie” Rice Jr., 65, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Living Word Worship Center with the Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Rice was born July 20, 1953, in Natchez, the son of Cleothia Rice Sr. and Bernice Jackson Rice.
He was a retired U.S. Air Force sergeant and the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal.
Rice was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Gloria Jean Rice Young.
Survivors include a loving wife of 44 years, Jeanette Marshall Rice; one daughter, LaKendra Sherricka Rice Lancaster and husband, Link; two sons, Arrick Rayshun Rice and Cleothia Rice III; one brother, Sammy Lee Rice; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one aunt; and a number of uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
