NATCHEZ— Services for Carrie Mae Farrington Smith, 95, of Natchez, who died Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Adams County Nursing Center, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lee Miley officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Plain Dealing, La., the daughter of Hamp and Mollie Farrington.
She was a lovely lady dedicated to her family.
Smith was preceded in death by her husband, James Kemp Smith; her parents; and two brothers, Harvey Holeman and Jim Farrington, and one sister Thelma Olson.
Survivors include two sons, Michael “Mike” Smith and wife, Betsy, of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Kenneth “Kenny” Smith and wife, Karen, of Natchez; two granddaughters, Stacee Frazier and husband, John, of Russellville, Ark., and Rachel Smith of Arkadelphia; one grandson, Kemp Smith of Arkadelphia; one great-granddaughter, Allison Frazier of Russellville; one sister, Lucille Barnes of Minden, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jim Smith, Kenny Jackson, Rayford Buckles, Glenn Mizell, Bill Salter and Robert Smith
The family extends thanks to Dr. England, Krystal Conerly, N.P., Magnolia Village staff, Adams County Nursing Center staff and Compassus Hospice for their dedicated care throughout her illness.
