Spring is definitely here, and it is such a wonderful time to be out and about in Natchez.
On Saturday, the ladies of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church will be offering their 7th Annual Community Market at 511 Jefferson Street.
This is always the best day to be downtown and visiting with local friends and all of the out-of-town guests who are here to celebrate our beautiful city.
We invite you to make our market one of your stops as you work your way through town.
As always, we will showcase vendors from the area who will be presenting a wide variety of great items for sale.
This is the perfect time and place to discover a wealth of treasures, both old and new. It is a one-day extravaganza where you can find unique pieces and gifts for every occasion under the sun or a perfect little pick-me-up for yourself.
You will see some of your friends from our wonderful Farmers’ Market, original art, homemade jams, jellies and salsa, wreathes, jewelry, wood crafts, accessories for your pets, wind chimes, hair bows, children’s smocked clothing, Easter items and much, much more.
Great bargains can be found in a booth offering gently used clothing, shoes, furniture and decorative items. Food and concessions will be available for sale on site, so you can just spend the day with us.
At this market, The United Methodist Women raise money through renting booth space to the great group of vendors who will be presenting their goods for sale.
Any profit from this market is turned around to a variety of local charitable organizations and to some of our church missions who work hard around the world to bring love and light to areas mired in suffering and anguish.
So, see, the time and money and friendship that you bring to our 7th Annual Community Market will not only brighten your Saturday, but it will carry on to many other people who are in desperate need of the help our mission work can provide.
Don’t forget – put us on your calendar – Saturday, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
We hope to see you there.
