FERRIDAY — Graveside services for Maxine Bryant, 96, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be 3 p.m. Friday at Legion Memorial Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bryant was born Jan. 11, 1923, in Amite County, the daughter of Carey Pearson and Dessie McCallister Pearson Temple.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Curtis LeRoy Temple; husband, Joe Bryant; one daughter, JoAnn Collins; one grandson, Matthew Smithart; and stepbrother, Hiram Temple.
Survivors include two daughters, Juliet Smithart of Vidalia and Jennifer Duncan and husband, Garry, of Ferriday; four grandsons, Jeff Williams, Van Williams, Bryan Ready and Wilton Ready; three granddaughters, Deborah Ready, Shayne Ready and DeeAnne Whitehead; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and family.
