FERRIDAY— Services for Jerry Jackson, 60, of Ferriday, who died Monday, March 4, 2019, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Bishop Justin Conner officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born Sept. 30, 1958, in Ferriday, the son of Earnest and Corean Washington Jackson.
He was self-employed as a carpenter.
Jackson was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Daniel and Otis Jackson.
Survivors include one son, Rahiem Jackson of Ferriday; one daughter, Deaisya Gorham of Natchez; four brothers, Lonnie Johnson and wife, Joyce, of Natchez, Earnest Jackson and wife, Betty, Jimmy Jackson and wife, Brenda, and Leonard Jackson and wife, KaBoo, all of Ferriday; seven sisters, Ethel Jackson and Carolyn Jackson, both of Alexandria, La., Odessa Jackson of Ferriday, Alice Jackson and Audrey Jackson and husband, Bobby, all of Baton Rouge, and Ernestine Bowsell and Ora Lee Stevenson, both of Kansas City, Mo.; and one grandchild, Demon’Tay Dunbar Jr. of Natchez.
