NATCHEZ — Services for George Ross Jr., 84, of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, at his residence, will be noon Saturday at Windy Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.  
Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Ross was born Aug. 20, 1934, in Natchez, the son of George Ross Sr. and Bernice Ross.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 63 years, Beatrice Ross; and two sisters, Georgia M. Brown and Edith Waters.
Survivors include one loving daughter, Cordelia “Cookie” Wells and husband, Michael; two grandchildren, Brenton and Bryanna; five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Ashton, Brooklynn, Desmond Jr. and Joshua Thomas; one sister, Rose M. Jones and husband, Saul; two brothers, the Rev. Robert Ross and Albert Ross; a special granddaughter, Courtney Gibson; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
