MONTEREY — Services for Debra Jean Hamilton, 56, of Acme, La., who died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at King’s Daughter Medical Center in Brookhaven, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Monterey Church of Christ with the Rev. Paul Avery and the Rev. Jason Sparks officiating.
Burial will follow at New Era Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Hamilton was born March 22, 1962, in Ferriday, the daughter of Ernest “Boo” Lee and Irene Knapp Lee.
She was a member of Monterey Church of Christ and was employed by Farm Bureau Insurance for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Michael Lee; and one sister, Janet Lee Bell.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Hamilton; one daughter, Kristie Lee and husband, Jeremy; of Brookhaven; one grandson, Carter Lee; and two granddaughters, Mia Lee and Laken Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hamilton, Cliff Hamilton, Ryan Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Brent Smith and Brandon Avery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Kevin Ingram, Dr. Jack Rodriguez, Coye Pace and John Rife.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aiden’s Light, P.O. Box 401, Monterey, LA 71354.
