GLOSTER — Services for Martin Lee Shorey, 68, of Centreville, who died Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster with the Rev. Eric Green, of Thompson Presbyterian Church in Centreville, officiating.
Burial will follow at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Shorey was born June 14, 1950, in West Fir, Ore., the son of Larry Shorey and Pearl Osterhout Shorey.
His family moved to Ruston, La., and then to Gloster with the Georgia Pacific Plant. He worked for Georgia Pacific in Gloster as plant manager and in Wiggins with Hood Industries as plant superintendent.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Allen Shorey and Larry “Buz” Shorey; and one sister, Carol Strunk.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Vines Shorey; three daughters, Michelle Knight and husband, Russ, Miranda Shorey and Robert Casielle, and Melissa Hebert and husband, Josh; eight grandchildren, Brodie Lafontaine and wife, Kayla, Ian Ball, Sophia Kruger, Hazel Pearl Shorey, Tanner Shorey, Brennan Knight, Derrick Knight and Neely Hebert; great-grandson, Ledger Lafontaine; two sisters, Susan Hawes and husband, Steve, of Eugene, Ore., and Kaye Rollman and husband, Steve, of Lincoln, Colo.; and special nephew and his wife, David and Jill Randall Shorey.
