SUMMIT — Services for Margaret Turner Cockerham, 68, of Summit, who died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Tangipahoa Baptist Church in Summit with the Rev. Mike Morris and the Rev. Tim Weems    officiating.
Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hartman Jones Funeral Home in McComb.
Visitation and a celebration of her life will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and will continue from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday, all at the church.
Mrs. Cockerham was born Sept. 10, 1950, in Natchez, the daughter of Kermit Patrick Turner Sr. and Mary Frances Clark Turner Dickens.
She was a loving Christian wife, sister, friend and had a number of “grands” that called her Mimi and Nana.
She was a devoted member of Tangipahoa Baptist Church, where she loved to serve and was a member of the choir and a Sunday school director.
Cockerham was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert “Bob” Borger.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Allen Cockerham; two children, Stacy Borger Mathis and husband, Johnny, and Robert “Robb” Borger and wife, Tabatha; two stepchildren, Robert “Bob” Cockerham and wife, Tonya, and Vernon Cockerham Sr. and wife, Nikki; three brothers, Bruce Curlee and wife, Kathleen, Pete Holloran and wife, Leah, and Pat Turner; two sisters, Doris Brown and Patricia Wheat; 15 grandchildren, Addison, Ashley, Clayton, Corey, Heather, Joanna, Kirstie, Lexie, Madison, Mandy, Mark, Matthew, Pee Wee, Paul and Zachary; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Leonard, Doug Robinson, T. Johnson, Joe Johnson, Tommy Carruth and Andy Yates.
