Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Smith of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Eleanor Wesley-Anne Smith to Adam Charles Edwin Turner, son of Dr. Gail Anne McMullen of Telluride, Colo., and Mr. Charles Phillip Turner of Durango, Colo.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral School in Natchez. She received a bachelor of science degree and a master of science degree in geology and geophysics from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is employed as a geoscientist with ExxonMobil Exploration Company in Houston.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Ariz. He received a bachelor of science degree in physics from the University of Arizona in Tucson, a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Arizona State University in Tempe and a Ph.D. in geology and geophysics at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He is employed as a senior geoscientist with ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company in Houston.

The wedding will be Oct. 12, 2019, at Stanton Hall in Natchez. Formal invitations will be sent.
