NATCHEZ — A double service for Alice June Tyson-Halford, 91, who died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, as a result of complications from influenza, and her daughter, Elizabeth June Tyson-Masline, 62, who died Oct. 28, 2018, at her residence in Millbrook, Ala., after a long battle with renal cancer, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Pavilion at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the directions of Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
Ms. Halford was born June 22, 1927, in Flora, the daughter of James Rowlin and Zula Bradshaw Rowlin.
In her earlier career, she worked as a cosmetologist and later became owner of the Crossroads Café in Washington. In her latter years, she was the assistant manager of the Sandbar Restaurant in Vidalia. She was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and was passionate about cooking and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her third child, Elizabeth June Masline; her first husband, Noel H. Tyson; her second husband, Millard Halford; three sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include three daughters, Georgia Diane Tyson Leonard of Atlanta, Aydell Tyson and Renee Tyson Turner; two grandchildren, Austin Turner and Beaux Leachman; one great-grandchild, Aleshia Leachman; one great-great-granddaughter, Aya Leachman, all of Brandon; and two sisters, Myrna Williams and Faye Cooper of Mangham, La.
