NATCHEZ — Services for Earl Cox, 79, a longtime resident of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at Canon Hospice in Gulfport, will 10 a.m. today at Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Cox loved the Lord and was an active member of Parkway Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and loved to reminisce about his glory days on the sports field — football, basketball, track and baseball, he excelled at all of them. He later enjoyed hunting and fishing as well.
Cox was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 18 years, Bonnie Mills Cox, in 1981.
Survivors include three daughters and six grandchildren.
